News from Assembly Image ManagementJerry Ginsberg in Patagonia Intent on seeing all that he can in this beautiful world of ours, Jerry Ginsberg treks the globe in search of nature’s beauty. His gifted eye responds to the most fascinating sights in nature, photographing them in his bold and unique style. Rather than simply recording some spectacular sights and timeless moments in nature, Jerry Ginsberg interprets them with his lens. The result is an ever growing collection of truly unique images that thrill the eye and delight the soul. Most recently, Ginsberg journeyed to the far reaches of Argentine Patagonia where he traveled almost three hours to meet the dawn over the fabulous Perito Moreno glacier. With a sheer ice face almost 5 km wide, the Moreno is one of the biggest glaciers in the world. In a brief moment of serendipity, this stunning rainbow arched across the entire width of this huge river of ice just as the sun rose. Here is the result.
DANIEL TROY @ GWYNEDD — RAILROAD LANDSCAPES Meeting so many train enthusiasts in one place is always an interesting event, especially since trains, in one form or other are such a universal experience. Such was the evening of August 22nd, when Dan Troy cast a spell over the crowd, regaling the attendees with humorous tales of of tracking trains out in the wilderness, the wonders of surviving on Slim Jim’s, and whatever else edible from the local gas station shop. On a more serious note, Dan who is an expert on rail photography, related some of the pre-chase planning that goes into finding sites, setting up and anticipating the perfect rail photograph. The evening was hosted by the Foulkeways at Gwynedd Art Committee and thanks go out to them and specifically Cynthia Evans, the gallery coordinator.
